Your primary responsibility will be to create and implement care plans that prioritize the residents’ sense of security, dignity, and independence. You will build strong relationships with residents and their families actively participating in the development of highly personalized care plans.

As a leader among Care Assistants, you will play a crucial role in upholding the highest standards of care and setting a positive example for your colleagues. Whether you’re assisting someone with a walking frame aiding a resident during mealtime or communicating with a resident’s family over the phone your approach will always emphasize kindness.

Additionally, your role as a Senior Care Assistant will encompass supporting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager by engaging residents in essential physical and mental activities organizing social and recreational events and administering medication.

Meticulous record-keeping and fostering strong teamwork relationships are integral aspects of your position. HC-One is currently seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join us on a bank contract. Ideally you should possess an S/NVQ 2 or 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care have experience in person-centered care planning, and possess knowledge of caring for individuals with dementia.

However, what is absolutely crucial is your positive energy and natural ability to connect with people. Proficiency in effective record-keeping time management and the ability to communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues are also vital skills.

Safeguarding is a collective responsibility and it’s essential that you can recognize signs of potential abuse, harm, or neglect in various forms and know the appropriate steps to take if concerns arise.

All team members are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their roles and additional training in related areas. You should also be capable of seeking advice and reporting concerns, including escalating the matter if necessary.
