As a Customer Assistant at Lidl, you’ll experience a diverse range of tasks, ensuring that no two shifts are the same. Your workday may commence as early as 5 am on certain days as you take charge of setting up the store’s bakery to prepare for the day ahead.

On other occasions you may find yourself finishing your shift at 11 pm making sure the store is closed and ready to welcome customers the next day. Your role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities from handling deliveries to managing the cash register and beyond.

You might even have the chance to specialize in areas such as freshness, non-food products, or bakery items. Your hard work and dedication directly contribute to ensuring that our customers have access to quality products for their dinner tables, and it’s what keeps them coming back.

Our team of Customer Assistants collaborates closely to maintain a clean, organized store, ensuring that customers can easily find and access the products they love and require.

In no time you’ll become part of a tight-knit team that feels like family. Although your shifts may include weekends, we provide schedules three weeks in advance, enabling you to effectively plan your time off, whether you have family commitments, are pursuing studies, or have unique hobbies.

Join our Store team for the following shifts

  • Shift Pattern 1: Monday – Sunday, 5:00 am – 3:00 pm (9.5 hours per day)
  • Shift Pattern 2: Monday – Sunday, 2:00 pm – 12:00 am (9.5 hours per day)

Your Responsibilities

  • Unpacking stock upon delivery to the store.
  • Providing exceptional customer service at the checkout.
  • Assisting customers with inquiries, helping them locate items, and offering guidance throughout the store.
  • Ensuring the bakery section remains well-stocked by baking fresh goods.
  • Maintaining the appearance of shelves, regularly checking sell-by dates, and ensuring product quality and freshness.
  • Merchandising and maintaining our non-food product sections.

Your Qualifications

  • Some prior experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Flexibility to begin early shifts at 5 am or conclude late shifts at 11 pm.
  • Ability to adapt positively to changing priorities.
  • Initiative to identify and complete necessary tasks.
  • Drive to work diligently and contribute to your store’s success.
  • Friendly and effective communication skills with both your team and customers.
  • Previous experience in delivering excellent customer service.
