Job Description
As an Accountant at KAMP Accountants Ltd, your primary responsibility is to assist the Director in maintaining and retrieving financial data from client files preparing VAT returns, Trial Balances, and Annual Accounts, while ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Your role is instrumental in providing comprehensive financial services to the organization, including but not limited to preparing VAT returns and trial balances.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Director to ensure the smooth operation of all financial matters.
- Maintain sales and purchase ledgers from source documents (client files).
- Oversee a team comprising Junior and Part-Qualified Accountants.
- Prepare Year-End Accounts and Monthly Management Accounts for SME clients with turnovers ranging from £1 million to £30 million.
- Review VAT Returns generated by the team.
- Review Year-End Accounts and tax computations for small businesses.
- Assist in generating financial statements, applications, and necessary reports.
- Plan, organize, and manage your workload to ensure timely and accurate contributions to the monthly financial reporting process.
- Address finance-related queries.
- Assist in end-of-year preparation and procedures for clients.
- Provide financial support to team members.
- Perform other duties deemed appropriate for this role.
Requirements for this Job
- Previous experience in a finance department.
- Basic understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
- Awareness of the Data Protection Act and its application within the organization.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and computerized accounting software.
- Strong keyboard skills.
