Position Overview

The Night Manager will be responsible to the Resident Experience Manager and collaborate closely with the broader site team to consistently deliver exceptional service to both existing and prospective residents of a sizable Build to Rent development in Manchester.

They will serve as a representative for the company, maintaining professionalism in all interactions, whether face-to-face, in written communication, or over the phone with guests and contractors.

Key Responsibility

  • Warmly welcoming visitors to the building with courtesy and helpfulness.
  • Ensuring the quality and presentation of all amenity spaces, maintaining a high standard at all times.
  • Managing inbound phone calls, redirecting them as needed, or taking messages.
  • Receiving and distributing parcels to residents’ lockers.
  • Providing prompt responses to resident inquiries via phone and email.
  • Keeping a record of distributed equipment for Resident Experience Managers’ use.
  • Coordinating resident arrivals, departures, and associated activities.
  • Maintaining a logbook of current and past contractors and on-site visitors.
  • Overseeing key management, including signing out key fobs to contractors and ensuring their timely return.
  • Assisting the team in planning, managing, and executing resident events.
  • Recording reactive maintenance inquiries and forwarding them to the Resident Experience Manager or Maintenance Operative.
  • Conducting inventory and check-out reports using specialized software and an iPad for tenancies, with reports provided to the Resident Experience Manager upon completion.
  • Managing office and kitchen supplies, including daily loading and unloading of the dishwasher (the office cleaner will handle the rest).
  • Ensuring a comprehensive shift handover at the end of each shift.
  • Monitoring CCTV for security purposes.
  • Reporting incidents to the National Operations Centre and the General Manager.
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations, including flushing water outlets and maintaining logs, conducting regular building patrols, and performing weekly health and safety checks
