This role involves providing specialized support to five individuals living independently and within the community. These individuals have autism, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviors and require consistent support in all aspects of their lives.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid UK Drivers License is mandatory.
- Shifts : This is a 24-hour service, so flexibility is essential. You’ll be working various shifts ranging from 7:00/8:00 am to 2:00/3:00 pm and 2:00/3:00 pm to 9:00/10:00 pm, including sleep-ins or waking nights, with some weekend shifts.
- We use a digital social care record system to streamline daily tasks and allow you to spend more quality time with the people we support.
Responsibilities
- This dynamic role entails a variety of tasks, including.
- Encouraging the independence of the residents we support.
- Assisting with daily activities such as cleaning, cooking, outings, and vacations.
- Fostering residents’ life skills and personal interests.
- Providing support with personal care and manual handling.
- Assisting residents with medication.
- Maintaining accurate record-keeping and contributing to service monitoring requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
- While prior knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs is beneficial, it is not mandatory.
- Passionate, caring, proactive, and enthusiastic.
- Patient, calm, and non-judgmental.
